144th Castle - kit by Alicia Ramirez from Spain
I belong to the Micro Minis online group, at the end of 2014 we had a swap with four people, each person making two seperate kits for 3 people. This castle is one of Alicia's creations. It was fabulous to put together and great fun to furnish. I decided to make 2 floors instead of 3 because I wanted to have a wall space to show the portraits off.
Artist's Studio
The inspiration for this roombox was a group swap where I received the delightful easel, I decided it needed a nude model so challenged Pam Jones to ceate one, and as usual she came up trumps. The zebra skin was a must, and was quite a challenge to make but I think it came out very well.
Addams Family Home
I was commissioned to make the furnishings for a Addams Family Home, never having seen the movie I set out to create the settings as macabre as my imagination allowed. I was forturnate as I had the same doll's doll house so the fun began. I papered the outside in a dull grey brick and finished off the inside wall edges and roof in black. I started in the lounge which I decided had to be in purple shades, there are bats flying out the fireplace into the lounge with one sitting on the chair back. The black entrance hall sports of skeleton in a coffin as well as the roses which have their heads chopped off. The kitchen cried out to be red, note the cat clock on the wall. The main bedroom has a shrunken head on the wallshelf with a lion ambling through from the Halloween orange bathroom. The attic has a ghost coming through the back wall, with loads of odds n ends lying around.
