This is my pride and joy, I got the kit from Rob Ferracini (please check my links page for his website), it fitted together like a dream and was an absolute delight to make.
Upstairs on the left
All the furniture was made by myself from pictures I had seen in miniature books and magazines. The ladder leads to a loft room inhabitated by the serving wench!
Upstairs on the right
The walls are plastered with a fine filler that I washed with a mixture of brown paints. The roof and front wall lifts off the reveal the top floor.
Loft Room
The poor serving wench has to sleep on a mattress on the floor, but at least she has a warm blanket and a candle
Side View of Hall
Note the storage room under the stairs, either dry foods or a naughty child could be hidden there!
Market
Note all the breads, eggs, wine, baskets and even a butter churn for salle
Market Produce
It even has live produce, such as chickens with their run under the table, chicks and pheasants hanging to mature! There is fruit and flour, almost anything anyone would need.
Front view of the Market
In the front there is a leather fish tank, fire wood and even hay for the live stock. I created the stone tiles for this project and they came out so nicely I included them in my range, see the selection under the heading Items for Sale and in the Kits section.
In the near future I will add pictures of my serving wench, her baby in a grass basket and the Tudor gent who man's the market. I will also add another picture of the stained glass window you can just see in the picture on the left upstairs side.
